Electronics company LG Electronics is expanding its lineup of smart home appliances in the Philippines with two products designed to make everyday kitchen and laundry tasks more efficient: LG InstaView refrigerators and LG Top Load washing machines.
The LG InstaView refrigerator is built around a patented “knock-to-view” glass panel that allows users see inside the fridge without opening the door. Two quick knocks on the panel illuminate the interior, allowing homeowners to check items instantly. The feature helps reduce the need to open the refrigerator frequently, minimizing cold air loss and helping maintain more stable internal temperatures for stored food.
Originally introduced as an evolution of LG’s Door-in-Door concept, the InstaView design has become one of the company’s signature refrigerator technologies. In the Philippines, it is now available in several iterations to suit different household needs and kitchen layouts.
Models include the French Door RVF-X208MC with 20.8 cu. ft. capacity, the Side-by-Side RVS-X238MC and RVS-G245PZ with built-in ice and water dispensers, and the Objet Collection Bottom Freezer RJB-V127BG, a two-door model that recently joined the lineup.
Select InstaView refrigerators also include features such as an Auto Ice Maker, the SpacePlus Ice System for more freezer storage, Hygiene Fresh technology to help deodorize bacteria inside the fridge, and DoorCooling+ to distribute cold air more evenly across shelves.
Other functions include a Fresh Converter that helps maintain optimal humidity for fruits and vegetables, and UVnano water filtration that helps sterilize bacteria on the dispenser nozzle.
Alongside its refrigeration products, LG is also introducing its Top Load washing machines designed to balance strong cleaning performance with fabric care.
The washers use Smart Motion and TurboDrum technology to create multi-directional drum movement that helps lift dirt and circulate laundry more effectively. A Smart Inverter motor enables quieter operation while improving energy efficiency, with LG saying the design can deliver up to 36% energy savings.
Available models in the Philippines include the 8.5kg T2185VBTM and T2185VBTB, as well as the 9kg T2109VBTB.
