AI smart devices provider HONOR Philippines will introduce the HONOR X8d smartphone in the Philippines on March 19, its third handset release in the country for 2026.
The HONOR X8d is being positioned for students and younger smartphone users looking for a stylish yet budget-friendly device. The phone features a 7.5mm ultra-thin body designed to be lightweight while maintaining a glossy finish and textured surface meant to give it a more premium look.
“Today’s students are creative, expressive, and always on the move. We offer HONOR X8d to match that energy, sleek, capable, and budget-friendly. It proves that you don’t have to spend more to stand out and stay connected,” said Stephen Cheng, VP of HONOR Philippines.
The smartphone comes with a 108MP Ultra-Clear AI camera, designed to capture detailed photos in both bright and low-light environments. The camera system also supports 3x lossless zoom, allowing users to take photos at different focal lengths without significant loss in image quality.
HONOR also highlighted the device’s design elements, including advanced excimer technology and micro-nano textures that create a reflective finish on the back panel. The phone’s metal barrel camera housing adds an additional design accent to make the device stand out visually.
The launch follows several recent smartphone introductions by HONOR in the Philippines as the brand continues to expand its presence in the midrange and budget smartphone segments. Student users and younger consumers have become a key target market for many smartphone makers, particularly those offering devices that combine camera features, slim design, and competitive pricing.
HONOR Philippines said more details about the HONOR X8d, including its official price and availability in the local market, will be announced during the March 19 launch event.
