South Trading Post (STP), a weekend flea market and community hub, marked its second year by scaling up merchant events and digital engagement, backed by connectivity support from DITO Telecommunity’s BizBayan platform.
The February milestone event brought together STP’s growing community of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), capping a series of activations that highlighted how hybrid commerce, both offline and online, is shaping modern retail experiences.
“STP represents what the modern market looks like today, where business happens seamlessly both offline and online. With DITO’s 5G connectivity, we’re helping MSMEs power cashless payments, connect with customers in real time, and create meaningful experiences,” said Gabby Cui, head of MSME, DITO BizBayan. “From seamless digital payments to stable connectivity, we strive to make every event not just successful, but truly memorable for both merchants and their customers.”
The partnership supported a lineup of events that drove foot traffic and online interaction. These included STP’s “Southversary 2,” held Nov. 7-9, 2025, at Alabang Town Center, followed by “South Sleigh Ride” on Dec. 20-21, 2025, at G Studios Alabang. The most recent activation, “Love You So Matcha,” ran from Feb. 13-15, 2026, again at Alabang Town Center, showcasing merchant-led experiences and promotions.
Across these events, DITO BizBayan enabled stable internet connectivity that supported merchant transactions, digital payments, and real-time social media engagement. The infrastructure also handled production requirements for organizers, ensuring uninterrupted operations during high-traffic periods.
“Partnering with DITO BizBayan has been transformative for South Trading Post and our community,” said Justin Francisco, co-founder of South Trading Post. “Their support as the main title sponsor of our anniversary event and other initiatives shows their dedication to helping small Filipino businesses thrive. Together, we’re proving that when businesses come together, communities grow even stronger.”
Backed by its expanding 5G network, DITO BizBayan aims to be an enabler of MSME growth, offering scalable connectivity that supports cashless ecosystems, digital engagement, and hybrid retail environments.
