Laptops powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors are now available in the Philippines, expanding access to AI-powered PCs across consumer and business segments.

The new chips, first introduced at CES 2026, are designed for AI workloads, faster graphics, and longer battery life. Devices from brands such as ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI are now being sold through local retailers.

“The introduction of Intel Core Ultra Series 3 systems in the Philippines is an important milestone as AI becomes more relevant to how people learn, work, create, and do business,” said George Chacko, GM Sales Group Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Intel Corp.

Built on Intel’s 18A manufacturing process, the Core Ultra Series 3 combines a central processing unit (CPU), graphics processing unit (GPU), and neural processing unit (NPU) in one chip. This setup allows laptops to handle artificial intelligence (AI) tasks directly on the device, without relying heavily on cloud computing.

The processors deliver up to 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of AI performance, supporting use cases such as AI-assisted productivity tools, content creation, and real-time collaboration. Intel also said the chips improve power efficiency, helping extend battery life in thin-and-light laptops.

Graphics performance is powered by Intel’s Xe3 architecture, which the company said enhances gaming and visual workloads compared with previous generations.

More than 200 laptop designs globally are expected to use Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, covering premium consumer, gaming, and enterprise systems. Philippine buyers can expect a range of models, from ultraportable laptops to high-performance machines for creators and gamers, rolling out through 2026.

“With strong performance, advanced AI acceleration, and improved power efficiency, these devices are designed to deliver practical benefits for Filipino users, from professionals and students to creators and enterprises,” Chacko said. “Together with our OEM partners, we are expanding access to a new generation of AI PCs that can help unlock productivity, creativity, and growth across the country.”

Intel is also pushing AI-ready computing into lower price segments through its Intel Core Series 3 processors. These chips target students, families, and small businesses, while still offering AI capabilities and modern connectivity such as Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.

Compared with a typical five-year-old PC, Intel said Core Series 3 delivers up to 47% faster single-thread performance, 41% better multi-thread performance, and up to 2.8 times higher GPU AI performance. The platform supports up to 40 TOPS of AI compute.

More than 70 additional laptop designs using Intel Core Series 3 processors are expected globally in the coming months, widening access to AI-capable PCs.
