Indie developer Toii Games is gearing up for Tokyo Game Show 2025 with a first look at Urban Legend Hunters: Ghosts in the Circuit, the newest chapter in its cult-favorite narrative adventure series.

This time around, players step into the shoes of a young genius engineer who’s shut herself off from the real world after a family tragedy. Her only link to human connection? A close friend named Nyx—until Nyx mysteriously vanishes. Soon after, a cryptic letter appears, and the engineer discovers that Nyx is now trapped inside a strange binary realm of 0s and 1s. With the help of forum friends from Urban Legend Hunters, she ventures into the eerie “Meta Space,” where reality and illusion collide, and a bigger threat ticks ominously in the background.

Ghosts in the Circuit sticks to the series’ signature “virtual community interaction” storytelling but levels up with a PC-first debut. For the first time, players can explore creepy 3D environments in first-person perspective, uncover hidden items, and make choices that alter the ending. And if you’re the type who loves replaying games, your second run will serve up new twists, branches, and challenges.

Visitors to TGS can find Toii Games at the Indie Game Area (#11-C07), where a prototype demo set in a haunting classroom will be playable. The booth will also feature interactive Live2D character models—so fans can meet the quirky cast before the full game arrives.
Urban Legend Hunters: Ghosts in the Circuit is already up on Steam for wishlisting. If urban legends, eerie mysteries, and a touch of digital horror are your jam, this is one booth worth stopping by.
