Foldable phones promise a bigger screen without the bulk of a tablet, but their moving parts, battery life, and durability remain common concerns among buyers. HONOR is addressing those concerns with the Magic V6, which has been named the EISA Foldable Smartphone 2026-2027.
The award from the Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) recognized the phone’s performance, battery life, and protection against water and dust.
The HONOR Magic V6 carries IP68 and IP69 ratings. These mean it is designed to withstand dust, water immersion under specified conditions, and high-pressure water sprays. The added protection is important for a foldable phone, which has more moving parts than a standard smartphone.

Inside, the Magic V6 runs on the 3-nanometer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform and comes with up to 16GB of RAM. Its inner and outer AMOLED screens have a 120Hz refresh rate, which allows smoother scrolling, gaming, and video playback.
It also has a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, supported by 80-watt wired and 66-watt wireless charging. The larger battery is intended to support the phone’s two screens and demanding tasks without requiring frequent charging.
The award comes as global AI devices provider HONOR expands its presence in Southeast Asia. HONOR ranked fourth in smartphone shipments in both the Philippines and Malaysia in the second quarter of 2026, according to Omdia.
That performance came as Southeast Asian smartphone shipments dropped 23% from a year earlier to 19.3 million units, their lowest quarterly level since 2014. The figures show the difficult market facing phone brands as device prices rise and buyers hold on to their phones longer.
The HONOR Magic V6 is available for preorder until Sept. 4 for ₱119,999. It comes in red, gold, and white. Buyers who preorder through HONOR Experience Stores, partner stores, or online channels will receive a free HONOR Pad X8b worth ₱12,999 when they claim the phone on Sept. 5.
