A look under the hood: First impressions of the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition

    “Wow.”

This was the first word that came out of my mouth as soon as I lifted up the cover of the fancy huge box the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition came in.

If we’re just talking about style, there is no question that this phone is oozing with style.

Infinix has teamed up with BMW Group’s Designworks to craft the NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition as the ultimate symbol of speed and passion. Promising high-octane performance, this phone aims to rev up one’s daily tech experience!

Racing elements have been infused in the phone’s design. This can be seen with the phone’s sleek form, rich leather backing and 3D lighting technology featuring BMW’s iconic stripes.

It truly is a very exquisite and sexy phone to behold.

Now let’s go check what’s under the hood. Shall we?

    The phone’s flat-frame body houses a Dimensity 8050 5G Processor, 12GB RAM (extendable up to 21GB) and 256GB storage.

It has a 6.67″ Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen. It’s clear display is complimented by JBL dual speakers making the viewing experience with this phone a pleasant one.

Camera specs are quite impressive at 108MP for its primary rear camera and a 32MP front camera which will delight selfie-loving techies.

And to make sure that you’ll be able to constantly push the limits on this phone, it has a 5000mAH battery capable of 68W All-Round Fast Charging (0-80% in 30 minutes!), and a 50W wireless charger if you prefer to go the wireless route.

You will definitely not run out of juice with this one.

With those said, let’s take the NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition on a test drive!

    Handling
Do you know how the power-steering feature of a car enables you to turn a car’s wheel easily? That’s what I thought of when I first took the phone out of the box.

I was expecting some sort of bulky weight when I held it in my hand. However, I was surprised that the phone was actually quite light. It made me think of a car’s power-steering feature. You’d expect some sort of resistance when turning the wheel, but with power-steering, navigating the car is effortless. Despite being lightweight, the phone feels very well-built and the leather backing provides an excellent grip even with its slim frame.

    Speed
The screen is responsive and swiping around is a breeze. Applications are snappy and loading times are quick. I can’t really say how long this will last as most phones’ performance will bog down when you install a lot of applications that uses up the memory. But with its 12GB RAM (extendable up to 21GB) and 256GB storage, it should take quite a while before you actually need to do maintenance on the phone.

    Daily Driving
With the combination of its processing power, RAM and storage, this phone is a very good choice for your daily driver.

Shutterbugs, live streamers and content creators will find this phone as an adequate vlogging tool. Camera works well both in natural light and low light settings. It has an AI CAM that basically chooses the appropriate cam settings to let you capture the perfect picture.

Video recording is up to 4K@30fps and 1080P@30/60fps. If the video stabilization leaves you a little wanting, it’s nothing a use of gimbal can fix.

Gamers can also enjoy their games while on the go. While it’s not a replacement for a gaming PC or console, it can definitely play your favorites such as Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Mobile Legends, etc.

And lastly, with it’s 5000mAH battery (and don’t forget the All-Round Fast Charging!), you will have enough gas left to Netflix and Chill after a long, long day. Be it with the built-in speaker or earbuds or headphones, watching your favorite movies and TV shows on this phone will be an enjoyable experience.

Now you’re probably saying, this phone is too good to be true. Like everything in this world, there IS always a catch.

This phone is only sold in limited quantities so it’s a little bit hard to find in physical and online stores and can be considered quite rare! With a surprisingly affordable price of only P13,999 (considering the specs and the design), you would be crazy not to grab this phone.

Holidays are just around the corner, and if you’re looking for the perfect gift for your special someone who loves to live in the fast lane, you might want to consider getting them the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition for Christmas!
