Meta Platforms is testing a new paid subscription called Instagram Plus, with the Philippines among the first places where users can try it.

Reports from TechCrunch said the test started March 30, 2026. This time, the paid tier is not just for influencers or creators, but for regular users.

Only selected users can access it for now, including those in the Philippines, as well as Mexico and Japan.

Instagram Plus adds simple features that focus on Stories.

Subscribers can watch stories anonymously. They also have access to the number of Story views as well as how many times it was played. The paid subscription will also allow them to push one Story per week to the front of followers’ feeds.

Stories are usually visible to followers for a day, but with paid subscription, users can extend it to two days or 48 hours.

Early reports say the test price in the Philippines is around ₱65 per month.

Unlike older paid features for creators, Instagram Plus is meant for everyday users who want more privacy and better control over how their Stories are seen.

Meta has not announced when it will roll out the feature to more users or other countries, and the price and features may still change.
