The Philippines will host MarketHub Asia 2027, a regional travel industry summit that brings together global buyers, suppliers, and technology platforms, marking a push to strengthen the country’s role in the international tourism market.
Organized by Spain-listed HBX Group, the B2B travel technology company behind Hotelbeds and Bedsonline, the event will convene destinations, hoteliers, airlines, and tour operators from across Asia-Pacific.
This year, MarketHub Asia was held in Bali, Indonesia.
Industry officials said the country’s selection reflects growing confidence in its capacity to host large-scale events and engage more competitively in the global travel ecosystem.
HBX Group executive David Amsellem said the Philippines offers a wide range of destinations supported by an industry increasingly ready to collaborate internationally.
He noted that MarketHub Asia 2027 will connect local tourism players to HBX Group’s global network in a structured and sustained way.
The hosting of the summit aligns with national tourism priorities focused on digitalization, infrastructure development, and deeper international partnerships.
As global travel becomes more technology-driven, access to distribution platforms and cross-border networks has become central to competitiveness.
Organizers said the event is expected to facilitate business matching, knowledge exchange, and long-term partnerships that extend beyond the conference itself.
HBX Group operates in more than 170 countries and connects a global network of travel suppliers and buyers.
Through MarketHub Asia 2027, local enterprises are expected to gain direct exposure to that international marketplace.
