There’s a running joke from way back when that anything with a screen can run the ‘Doom’ game from the 90’s. Technically speaking, Doom can run on the new Samsung Bespoke AI appliances — both the new refrigerator and washing machine come with built-in screens that are essentially Android tablets that take advantage of Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant.

Screens on appliances were usually reserved as concept devices found at CES or IFA. With this launch, Samsung is making these appliances available with additional AI features. Apart from Bixby voice assist, I’m more interested in the power saving features of these new appliances. One of the more affordable top loaders for instance has a built in water pressure assist to help consumers in provincial areas with low water pressure fill their tanks for washing.

“At the heart of everything we do at Samsung is our goal to make the lives of our customers better and easier with our technology, including our home appliances,” said Ramon Medina, Head of Digital Appliances for Samsung Electronics Philippines. “We are proud that our newest Bespoke AI appliances are a testament to Samsung’s deeper commitment to integrating AI across the connected experience to cater to diverse lifestyles.”

    Refrigerators are now AI powered

The new Bespoke AI Side-by-Side Refrigerators are designed to make room for everything you need—and we’re not just talking about their impressive SpaceMax™ Technology.

Apart from every corner of the fridge being evenly chilled thanks to the All-around Cooling feature, these advanced refrigerators create a rich user experience with the Family Hub, where you can share photos, listen to music, and access information from the Daily Board.

The Side-by-Side Refrigerators are also all about access and control. Their sleek 9” AI Family Hub™ LCD screen lets you control smart devices, access apps, and receive personalized updates. Even from a distance, you can still control your refrigerator using SmartThings on your smartphone or tablet without the extra hardware.

The rise of the (washing) machines

Doing laundry can seem daunting, but Samsung’s Bespoke AI Washing Machines simplify the task for you through intelligent AI washing.

The Bespoke AI Laundry All-in-One Combo is the washing machine you need for all-in-one laundry that eliminates the need to transfer your clothes from the washer to the dryer, thanks to its All-in-one design that seamlessly integrates a washer and dryer in one appliance. Through AI, it washes and dries clothes thoroughly and efficiently by detecting the weight and fabric of your laundry.

Meanwhile, the AI Top-load Washer washes your clothes thoroughly and gently, leveraging AI Wash to adjust its cycle settings automatically. To save time, the Super Speed feature shortens the rinsing time by shooting powerful jets of water and accelerating the spin speed.
