Gogoro, a Taiwanese e-mobility company, officially completed its two-month pilot test in the Philippines, marking it with the grand opening of the first Gogoro Experience Center (GEC) in Ayala, Makati city.
In its commitment in making transportation eco-friendly and sustainable, the company announced that its e-scooters will be made available in the market in December 2023.
Customers and other visitors will be able to see Gogoro’s smartscooter lineup at the experience center. To experience the e-scooter, visitors may also book a test ride at the GEC.
The lineup consists of the Gogoro S1, a supercar-inspired model crafted from racing-grade aluminum. The Gogoro Supersport is a model equipped with Gogoro’s SSMartcore Technology.
Moreover, the Gogoro Delight, which was designed by an all-female team is also part of the lineup.
Gogoro also included Gogoro Viva, a model that does not require license and is highly recommended for travel within cities.
The smartscooter runs on Gogoro’s batteryswapping ecosystem, which is a “swap and go” recharging of the mobile. Users can get their smartscooters charged up at Gogoro’s GoStations.
Currently, there are five stations in the country, which can be found in Bonifacio City, Makati City, Paranaque City.
Bernie Llamzon, President of Gogoro PH, said that the opening of the store also means “opening the doors to the next chapter of mobility” in the country.
“Filipinos are invited to step in, explore, and be a part of this transformative journey towards a smarter and cleaner urban commute,” said Llamzon.
Gogoro was founded in 2011 and has committed to “rethink urban energy and inspire the world to move through cities in smarter and more sustainable way.”
Partnering with Globe 917Ventures and Ayala Corp., Gogoro officially announced its entry in the Philippines back in April 2023.
