MPL PH S15: The Mid-Season Shake-Up Begins!

We’re almost at the end of the first half of the season, and the action in the MPL Arena certainly did not disappoint. The week was filled with milestone achievements, streaks, and intense rivalries.

Here’s what you missed in the third week of MPL Philippines Season 15!

Team Falcons, Team Liquid Philippines, and Aurora are on a hot streak

Coming off their Week 2 success, these three powerhouses continue their streak into Week 3 as they remain on top of the standings.

FLCN’s only match this week was against TNC Pro Team, and it was a show of domination as the championship roster proved too elusive for the rising Phoenix squad. Meanwhile, TLPH took down the reigning champions, ONIC Philippines, reigniting the rivalry between Oheb, “The Filipino Sniper,” and Kelra, “The Gold Standard.” Finally, Aurora’s light shone brightly as they secured victories against OMG and TNC, extending their win streak to five matches.

OMG and TWIS get their first series win of the season

The Barangay and the boys of Twisted Minds finally found success after their early struggles this season.

Super Yoshi stepped in for the Barangay and helped them outlast TWIS in a quick sweep, giving them hope for the weeks to come. Then, TWIS secured their own victory with a “Twisted” draft against AP Bren. Coach Bon Chan unleashed a strategy he had developed during the Snapdragon Pro Series APAC Challenge Season, allowing MPTheKing to play Alice in the jungle and Hadjizy to take Hilda to the mid lane.

Pheww’s 3,000 assists and Edward’s 1,000 kills

This week put the spotlight on “The Walking Legend” and “Idol ng mga Kids.” Pheww climbed to the top of the MPL-PH all-time history books by reaching 3,000 assists. Meanwhile, Edward became the eighth player to achieve 1,000 kills.

Onwards to Week 4, ending the first half of the season

The matches are heating up, and the first half of the season is coming to a close. Next week will be another battle to stay at the top of the standings, with more surprises and possibilities on the horizon.
