The new G-Shock collab is in a League of its own

League of Legends is arguably one of the most popular games on the planet.

Launched in 2009, this esports juggernaut has grown to become a multi-game franchise that has spilled over to music, comics, and a hit animated Netflix series. With millions playing the games, the LoL fanbase is still significantly huge.

As a crossover merch, this collaboration is more than a welcome surprise. As one of the two LoL x G-Shock collabs, the League of Legends G-Shock GA-110LL is based on the steampunk-inspired GA-110 model which first appeared in 2010.

What makes this watch special is its highlight on Jinx, perhaps one of the most well-known LoL champions. Jinx’s popularity exponentially increased with the release of Arcane, the award-winning animated series which delved deep into her complex backstory.

Echoing Jinx’s colorful outfit, the GA-110LL’s case and band is stamped with bold street-art style graphics. Jinx’s name appears on the entire length of the band with the opposite side featuring her signature weapon. The League of Legends logo can be found on the band keeper and the case back. Besides the matching color scheme, the other detail that makes the watch a truly Jinx-inspired timepiece is the Super Mega Death Rocket! hand on the 9 o’clock subdial. Other signature details of the watch include other steampunk-inspired mechanism such as the gear-like design on the watch hands and the Y-shaped dial frame that was derived from a part of a steam locomotive.

On top of the basic timekeeping features such as analog-digital time and digital day/date, the watch also has a 29-zone world time, 1/1000 of a second stopwatch, countdown timer, daily/hourly alarms, amber-colored LED illumination and 200M water resistance.

The watch comes in a colorful League of Legends/Jinx-themed packaging which includes a box and tin. It is available at authorized G-Shock outlets for Php 13,680.
