The holiday spirit is just around the corner, and CHERRY Philippines has something special in store for all the caroling enthusiasts out there! Introducing the Choiraoke Caroling Contest, a chance for you and your friends to celebrate the season with a joyful mix of caroling and karaoke. Think of it as classic Christmas caroling, but with a techy twist and some fantastic prizes up for grabs!
How to Join
- Pick a Location – Head over to any participating CHERRY concept store between November 4 and December 4, 2024, from 11 AM to 8 PM. You can find the action at:
- SM Mall of Asia
- SM Megamall
- SM Fairview
- SM Bacoor
- SM Southmall
- Robinsons Manila
- Get Your Group Together – You’ll need a group of at least three (3) singers to participate. Once you’ve assembled your caroling crew, swing by the registration booth at the CHERRY store to sign up. You’ll fill out a quick form with your group name, each member’s info, and a few social media details to complete your registration. Don’t forget to follow CHERRY’s accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to qualify for the contest!
- Choose Your Song – Now comes the fun part! Select a holiday song and sing it using CHERRY’s wireless karaoke mic. Keep it festive and fun (and yes, family-friendly!). Each performance can be up to four minutes long, so choose a tune that lets your group’s personality shine!
- Lights, Camera, Action! – When you’re ready, the CHERRY team will record your group’s performance. You’ll have one entry per group, so give it your best shot!
Judging Criteria and Prizes
Once all the entries are in, a panel of judges from CHERRY Philippines will evaluate each performance. They’ll be scoring based on Voice Quality (30%), Mastery (15%), Confidence and Presence (15%), and Overall Performance (40%). On December 10, the top ten entries will be posted on CHERRY Philippines’ official Facebook page for everyone to see.
Here’s a look at what you could win:
- Grand Prize: ₱5,000 + a CHERRY Wireless Karaoke Dynamic mic
- 1st Runner-Up: ₱3,000 + a CHERRY Wireless Karaoke Rhythm mic
- 2nd Runner-Up: ₱2,000 + a CHERRY Wireless Karaoke Mini mic
- Consolation Prizes for 7 Groups: Each will get a CHERRY Wireless Karaoke Duet Medley mic
CHERRY will notify the winners by mail or email, and prizes will be sent to the address provided. (If your prize is over ₱10,000, CHERRY has you covered on the 20% withholding tax and related costs.)
