For two days, Bonifacio Global City’s 5th avenue turned into a dazzling display of the latest tech from HUAWEI’s latest line of smart devices. More than 20,000 people visited the Tech With Love event for a first-hand look at Huawei’s latest personal devices such as the HUAWEI Watch GT 5, the HUAWEI Watch D2, and the MatePad Pro 12.2-inch.
A section of BGC’s 5th avenue turned into a Pet Panda Wonderland pop-up from November 9-10 featuring HUAWEI’s cute panda mascot. One of the highlights was a giant interactive panda statue that gave away instant prizes like a gacha machine. As visitors watched HUAWEI’s panda health assistant on the giant 3D-LED billboard, they also flocked to the interactive stations to experience various health, fitness, and artistic activities in a fun and engaging way.
To showcase the features of the HUAWEI Watch GT 5 such as the TruSense System, users could pedal for a few minutes at the booth that had stationary bikes. The Watch GT 5 has a suite of health and fitness tracking features which includes the heart rate, blood oxygen, and respiratory rate monitoring.
Celebrity users such as Sofia Andres and Jericho Rosales talked about how they used the Watch GT 5’s various features such as health monitoring and tracking workouts and using the watch for sports activities. Sofia in particular mentioned how helpful the Pet Panda assistant was in reminding her to take breaks for her emotional well-being. For Jericho, he found the Running Form Analysis feature useful for road and trail running as well as the Pro Freediving Mode for underwater activities.
Over at the Watch D2 booth, visitors were able to test the next-gen ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) feature of the watch. The watch has a mechanical airbag on the wrist cuff so it can accurately monitor precise vitals and blood pressure. The Watch D2’s advanced features can also generate a report which includes heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels, blood pressure, skin temperature, vascular elasticity, and ECG.
Those who wanted to explore their artistic side headed over to the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2” booth where they could create their digital artworks using the Tandem OLED PaperMatte display, M-Pencil, PC-level performance, and the GoPaint app. With enough power for various productivity and creativity apps, the MatePad Pro 12.2 is a serious creative tool for aspiring and professional artists.
As a surprise announcement during the Tech With Love event, GCash, in collaboration with HUAWEI, announced the availability of Watch Pay for Watch GT 5, Watch Ultimate, and Watch Fit 3 devices.
