Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2, and Galaxy Watch9, expanding its foldable lineup while bringing new Galaxy AI features across smartphones and wearables.
The new Galaxy Z lineup offers three foldables aimed at different users, with Galaxy AI tailored to each to make multitasking and daily tasks more seamless.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra leads the lineup with an 8-inch display, a 200-megapixel camera, and Samsung’s thinnest Fold design yet. It also introduces a larger battery, faster charging, and an upgraded cooling system for heavier workloads.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is designed for entertainment, gaming, and reading, featuring new display ratios and Samsung’s Flex Titanium display structure, which Samsung said improves durability while reducing crease visibility.
The Galaxy Z Flip8, meanwhile, emphasizes portability with an AI-powered FlexWindow that brings apps and shortcuts to the cover display, alongside new hands-free camera features.
AI and Health
Samsung also expanded Galaxy AI with features such as Now Brief, Now Nudge, and Gemini Intelligence, alongside new privacy controls that give users more visibility into AI activity on their devices.
On the wearable side, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, adding AI-powered health features, including Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, and Fitness Index. The Ultra2 targets outdoor users with trail running and diving modes, while the Watch9 focuses on everyday wellness.
Samsung said the new devices are available for pre-order in the Philippines starting July 23, with general availability beginning Aug. 14. Buyers of the new Galaxy Z smartphones will also receive a six-month Google AI Pro trial.
