Canon Philippines is stepping up its support for the country’s growing community of content creators with two new programs that aim to help aspiring photographers, videographers, and digital storytellers build their skills and careers.

At Creator Experience Day held recently, the global provider of imaging, printing, and optical technologies for consumers, businesses, and professionals introduced Canon Creator Camp and the Canon Campus Tour, initiatives designed to make training, hands-on experience, and creative communities more accessible across the Philippines.

The launch shows the growing demand for content creation as more Filipinos turn to social media, online businesses, and digital platforms for work, education, and self-expression.

Built around the theme “One Canon. Many Stories,” the event gave creators, students, and media a chance to try Canon’s latest imaging products while learning how they can be used for photography, filmmaking, livestreaming, and content creation.

One of the highlights was the Canon EOS R6 V, a hybrid camera designed for both photos and videos. It features a 32.5-megapixel sensor, open-gate recording that gives creators more flexibility when editing for different platforms, and an active cooling system that allows longer video recording sessions without overheating.

Canon also showcased its PIXMA MegaTank printers, which are designed for homes, schools, studios, and small offices. The printers include refillable ink tanks, wireless printing, mobile app connectivity, touchscreen displays, and features that help reduce ink and paper consumption.

Beyond introducing new products, Canon said it wants to invest in developing future creators.

The Canon Campus Tour will visit schools and universities across the country, bringing product demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and learning sessions directly to students. The program is intended to give young creators the opportunity to explore professional imaging tools without having to travel to major events.

The Canon Creator Camp will focus on building a community where creators can learn new techniques, improve their storytelling, and develop their creative careers through workshops and collaborative activities.
