The standard for premium earbuds has long followed a familiar formula: better bass, cleaner vocals, stronger noise cancellation, and longer battery life. With the launch of the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Series in the Philippines, however, Anker is positioning its premium earbuds as more than just audio devices.
Unveiled during Anker Day Philippines at the Glorietta Palm Drive Activity Center on May 23, the new flagship true wireless stereo (TWS) lineup includes the Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max. Both models focus on artificial intelligence (AI)-powered audio, adaptive noise cancellation, clearer communication, and more personalized listening experiences.
“Today’s consumers expect more than just audio performance. They want technology that adapts naturally to the way they work, move, communicate, and live,” said Barney Chen, GTM of Soundcore Philippines.
The Liberty 5 Pro Series integrates AI into everyday functions, from voice calls and noise cancellation to voice controls and productivity tools.
Better noise cancellation and clearer calls
Both models use a 10-sensor fusion system made up of eight MEMS microphones and two bone conduction sensors. The system combines airborne audio with vibrations detected through the user’s jaw and skull to better isolate speech from surrounding noise in real time.
For users who often take calls in cafes, offices, campuses, or other public spaces, the system aims to keep voices clear on both ends of the call even in noisy environments.
Soundcore also said the Liberty 5 Pro received Guinness World Records recognition for the “Highest speech quality score” for TWS earbuds.
Noise cancellation is powered by Adaptive ANC 4.0, which automatically adjusts cancellation levels depending on the user’s surroundings while reducing the pressure sensation often associated with traditional ANC systems.
The lineup also includes HearID 5.0, an AI-driven feature that creates a listening profile based on a user’s hearing sensitivity and listening habits.
Charging case becomes a smart control hub
Another notable feature of the Liberty 5 Pro Series is the expanded role of the charging case.
The Liberty 5 Pro includes Control at a Glance, a touch interface built into the charging case that allows users to switch ANC modes, adjust EQ settings, manage playback, and answer calls without reaching for their phones.
The Liberty 5 Pro Max expands these features with a 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen powered by VibeOS DT. The smart case also supports recording functions, widgets, and personalization tools directly from the display.
Productivity features target students and professionals
The Liberty 5 Pro Max pushes further into productivity-focused features.
Positioned as the world’s first smart-screen earbuds with an integrated AI Note-Taker, the Pro Max supports AI-powered recording, real-time transcription, speaker identification, intelligent summaries, and task organization through the Soundcore ecosystem.
For students, journalists, and professionals who regularly record lectures, meetings, interviews, or briefings, the feature adds a practical use beyond music and calls. Soundcore is positioning the earbuds not only as audio accessories but also as tools for organizing and processing information.
The Pro Max charging case also supports up to 12 hours of local recording with encrypted storage and secure cloud transcription processing.
Pro vs Pro Max
The Liberty 5 Pro serves as the standard premium audio option in the lineup. It includes adaptive ANC, AI-powered voice clarity, HearID 5.0, smart case controls, and voice control features.
The Liberty 5 Pro Max builds on those features with the larger AMOLED smart case, VibeOS DT, and AI Note-Taker tools.
Both models support three-device multipoint connectivity, Apple Find My compatibility, Google Fast Pair, IP55 dust and water resistance, Bluetooth 6.1, and up to 28 hours of total battery life with the charging case.
With the Liberty 5 Pro Series, Soundcore is entering a more competitive phase of the personal audio market where premium earbuds are increasingly expected to deliver productivity and AI-driven features alongside sound quality.
Availability and promo
In the Philippines, the Liberty 5 Pro retails for ₱9,995 and comes in Pearl Blue, Midnight Black, Pearl White, and Rose Gold. The Liberty 5 Pro Max retails for ₱12,995 and will be available in Midnight Black and Titanium Gold.
Customers who purchase the Liberty 5 Pro Series from May 23 to June 23 through Anker stores nationwide will receive an extended warranty of up to 24 months.
The products will also be available through authorized dealers and online via Soundcore Philippines and Anker Global on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
