Portable gaming has often meant compromise. Smaller screens, devices that heat up quickly, and batteries that can’t last through long sessions are the usual trade-offs.
With the new Lenovo Legion Tab (8.8”, 3), Lenovo aims to deliver a different balance: a lightweight tablet with flagship performance built specifically for gamers.

The Legion Tab features an 8.8-inch Lenovo PureSight display with a sharp 2.5K resolution, HDR10 and Dolby Vision support, and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. That means smoother animations, sharper detail, and more responsive controls, key advantages in fast-paced titles where every frame counts. The screen also supports 10-point multi-touch, ensuring precision for players who rely on quick taps and swipes.

At its core, the Legion Tab runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. This flagship-grade hardware is built to handle demanding titles like Genshin Impact while keeping load times and multitasking smooth.
In actual gameplay tests, the Legion Tab delivered impressive stability even under heavy load. Fortnite, a notoriously demanding game, ran on the highest graphics and frame rate settings, maintaining a fairly stable 60 fps, with only occasional dips to around 53 fps.
In FC Mobile, performance remained completely steady above 60 fps even with graphics maxed out. Meanwhile, Mobile Legends ran flawlessly, making the Legion Tab a strong choice for competitive mobile gamers.

To sustain that performance, Lenovo has integrated a vapor chamber cooling system that draws heat away from the player’s grip. Through Game Assistant, users can also select thermal profiles: Performance, Balanced, or Energy Saving — to match their gaming needs.
Gaming immersion isn’t just about visuals. The Legion Tab includes dual X-axis haptic motors, providing tactile feedback during gameplay, and stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, which deliver dynamic, distortion-free audio. Together, they add a layer of depth to the experience, whether it’s the sound of battle or the vibration of in-game actions.
The Legion Space hub also enhances the experience. It’s intuitive and easy to navigate, with a boost system that noticeably improves performance when activated. Players can tweak modes and monitor stats in real time without interrupting gameplay.

With a 6,550mAh battery, the Legion Tab is designed for extended play. It also offers “bypass charging,” which lets the device run directly on AC power during long sessions to reduce heat buildup in the battery.
All of this comes in a slim package. Just 7.79mm thin and weighing about 350 grams. The all-metal chassis in Eclipse Black gives it a premium yet portable feel, whether for at-home use or gaming on the go.

The Legion Tab runs on Android 14, with Lenovo committing to three major OS version upgrades and four years of security updates.
By combining a high-refresh display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 power, vapor chamber cooling, and immersive sound-haptic features, the Lenovo Legion Tab positions itself as more than just another Android tablet.
It’s designed to be a reliable companion for mobile gamers, offering smooth gameplay and longer sessions without the typical trade-offs.

In the meantime, Lenovo is offering a limited-time deal for those planning to grab the new Legion Tab. Until October 31, 2025, buyers can get a free GameSir G8 Plus Bluetooth Mobile Controller worth P3,000.
The promo is available exclusively at Legion Stores, GameOne, Datablitz, Joneco, PC Express, and Robinsons Appliances branches nationwide.
