The Infinix HOT 70 brings style, battery life, and durability together in one colorful package

Smartphones have become one of the few things we carry with us almost every hour of the day. They’re never more than an arm’s reach away.

They sit beside us during meetings, accompany us during commutes, capture memories on weekends, and somehow end up becoming part of our personal style whether we realize it or not.

That seems to be the thinking behind the Infinix HOT 70.

Carrying the slogan “Life Full of Color When I Hold You,” the HOT 70 combines a fashion-forward design with practical features aimed at users balancing work, social life, and everything in between.

A smartphone that doubles as an accessory

The first thing I noticed about the Infinix HOT 70 was its design.

The device features what Infinix calls a Dynamic Shine Design with a Pearl-Smooth Finish, creating shifting reflections as light hits the back panel from different angles, giving the phone more character than many devices in its price segment.

It is available in six colorways: Green Texture, Thermo Orange, Quiet Violet, Silver Dancer, Dive Blue, and Night Pulse.

Quiet Violet and Green Texture both feature Infinix’s Lumina Flare dynamic light-flow texture and Crystal Mood Island decorative camera ring, creating a look reminiscent of crystal jewelry and premium fabrics.

Thermo Orange, meanwhile, is perhaps the most interesting option. Its thermochromic finish changes color depending on temperature, making yet another unique design and statement.

The remaining Silver Dancer, Dive Blue, and Night Pulse variants provide cleaner options for users who prefer a more understated look.

During my time with the HOT 70, I found myself appreciating the pop of color it brought to my daily outfits. It never felt overly flashy, but it had enough personality to stand out in a market where many phones often look the same.

A display built for everyday life

One of my favorite features ended up being the display.

The HOT 70 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the difference was immediately noticeable. Scrolling through social media, switching between apps, and navigating menus all felt smooth and responsive.

More importantly, it held up well outdoors.

I regularly use my devices during commutes, coffee runs, and on-the-go meetings, often moving between locations throughout the day. Even under harsh Philippine sunlight, I never found myself struggling to see the screen. Whether I was reviewing photos, checking directions, or replying to messages, visibility remained consistently good.

Performance and battery life built for busy days

The performance also proved reliable during longer work sessions. On multiple occasions, I joined calls and meetings that lasted over an hour while moving around the city, and the phone remained comfortable to use throughout. Even with direct sunlight and warm outdoor conditions, I never encountered overheating issues.

The reality is that most people aren’t buying a smartphone solely for benchmark scores.

They want something that can keep up with daily life, and the HOT 70 handled that well.

Whether I was juggling messaging apps, social media, navigation, video streaming, or productivity tasks, the experience remained responsive enough that the phone rarely got in the way. The 120Hz display certainly helped make the overall experience feel smoother.

The device comes with up to 16GB extended RAM and up to 256GB of storage depending on the variant, providing plenty of room for apps, photos, videos, and everyday multitasking.

Another highlight is the combination of a 6000mAh battery and 45W Lightning FastCharge.

As someone who values battery life more than raw performance, this quickly became of note to me. Throughout daily use, I rarely found myself worrying about battery levels, even during long workdays spent moving between locations.

And when it was time to recharge, the 45W fast charging helped reduce downtime significantly.

It’s one of those features you stop thinking about because it simply works.

    Camera capabilities

I spent time using the camera both indoors and outdoors, testing its zoom capabilities and AI-assisted photography features.

From my experience, the camera performed best outdoors where lighting conditions allowed it to fully take advantage of its image processing. Photos looked vibrant, details held up surprisingly well when zooming in, and overall image quality was pleasant for everyday photography and documentation.

Indoor performance required a bit more user involvement, especially when dealing with artificial lighting. The AI-assisted framing and scene optimization worked best when given sufficient light to work with.

That isn’t a criticism so much as an observation. The camera clearly has its strengths, and outdoor photography is where it shines most.

    Durability for everyday use

Keeping with the HOT 70’s focus on everyday usability, durability also proved reassuring.

The device comes with dust and water resistance, SGS certification, and support for three operating system upgrades.

I really appreciated that this phone never felt fragile.

I carried it outdoors, left it on cafe tables, tossed it into bags, and generally treated it the same way I would any daily driver smartphone. Despite that, I never encountered accidental button presses, loose controls, faltering buttons, or any signs that the device couldn’t handle normal wear and tear.

That’s arguably one of the strongest compliments I can give a phone.

There is nothing worse than a device you feel compelled to treat like an egg.

The HOT 70 simply blended into daily life and worked.

    Final thoughts

The Infinix HOT 70 succeeds by focusing on what many users actually care about.

A stylish design. A smooth display. Reliable performance. Strong battery life. And durability that provides peace of mind.

The Dynamic Shine Design and varying color options help it stand out visually, while the combination of a 6000mAh battery, 45W Lightning FastCharge, dust and water resistance, SGS certification, and three OS upgrades give it practical value beyond aesthetics.
