Apple is looking to its latest devices and expanding services business for growth after reporting higher quarterly sales despite supply constraints.
During Apple’s fiscal fourth-quarter earnings call on Nov. 2, CEO John Ternus expressed confidence in opportunities across the company’s product lineup, services, health, emerging markets, enterprise and education.
“With our latest lineup, people have even more reasons than ever to upgrade or switch to an Apple product,” Ternus said.
The company’s recent launches include the foldable iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. Ternus said Apple was pleased with the early response to the Duo and was working to get devices into customers’ hands as quickly as possible.
Apple also introduced a touchscreen MacBook Pro, an M6-powered 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac, and an iPad mini with an OLED display.
Apple is also expanding its smart home lineup with Home View, which brings entertainment, communication and home management into one device, alongside a new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini. The company also introduced Apple Home Collection, a program that extends Apple Home to products developed with partner companies.
The company reported total revenue of $114.48 billion in the three months ended Sept. 26, up 11.7 percent from a year earlier.
“iPhone revenue was $57.6 billion for the September quarter, up 17% from a year ago, despite supply constraints and foreign exchange headwinds,” Ternus said.
iPhones accounted for about half of Apple’s quarterly revenue. Mac revenue, meanwhile, rose nearly 24 percent to $10.79 billion.
“Turning to Mac, revenue was $10.8 billion, up 24% from a year ago despite supply constraints,” he said.
Ternus said Apple gained global Mac market share during both the quarter and the full fiscal year, citing International Data Corporation figures.
Beyond devices, he pointed to opportunities to expand services across Apple’s installed base of more than 2.5 billion active devices. Services revenue reached $31.57 billion during the quarter.
For the full fiscal year, Apple’s revenue increased 15.1 percent to $478.83 billion.
“I’m feeling great about the opportunities ahead for Apple, from our product roadmap and broad range of services, to promising areas like health, emerging markets, enterprise, and education,” Ternus said.
