Can a foldable smartphone withstand the force of a 1-ton aircraft? HONOR is putting its latest foldable, the Magic V6, to the test with a series of unusual durability challenges.
In a controlled aircraft-pull test, the HONOR Magic V6 was pulled by an aircraft weighing approximately 1 ton, putting its structural strength and engineering under extreme force.
The test is part of HONOR’s effort to show that foldable phones do not have to sacrifice durability for a slimmer, more sophisticated design.
The company also subjected the Magic V6 to a lat pulldown activation, turning a familiar gym exercise into another test of the phone’s strength.
HONOR then took the foldable to the water, showing the device in a swimming pool. The underwater activation was designed to show how the phone can handle challenging environments involving water.
The Magic V6 is designed as a flagship smartphone for everyday use. It combines a large foldable display, flagship performance, AI features, high-resolution cameras, and a high-capacity battery in a slim form factor.
HONOR Philippines said the demonstrations are part of its push to redefine what consumers can expect from foldable smartphones.
