Music streaming platform Spotify is introducing a new feature that gives select listeners early access to concert tickets based on how much they engage with an artist on the platform.

Called “Reserved,” the feature was unveiled during Spotify’s 2026 Investor Day presentation. The feature will begin rolling out in the United States between June and August this year for eligible Premium subscribers aged 18 and above.

The company said expansion to more countries is planned later on.

The system works by identifying what Spotify describes as an artist’s “top fans” using listening behavior and engagement signals. This includes streams, saves, playlist adds, shares and other forms of activity tied to a specific artist.

Eligible users will receive notifications through the Spotify app and email once tickets become available. Those selected will get a limited early-access purchase window before tickets open to the general public.

Spotify said users may be allowed to buy up to two tickets during the presale period, though availability will still depend on venue capacity and tour demand.

The company said the feature is designed to create a more direct connection between artists and listeners while also helping reduce scalpers and automated bots that commonly affect online ticket sales.

Reserved is launching through a partnership connected to Live Nation Entertainment concerts, although Spotify said it plans to expand the feature to more tours and partners in the future.

During Investor Day, the company also introduced new AI podcast tools, expanded audiobook features and AI-assisted remix capabilities tied to a licensing agreement with Universal Music Group.

Spotify said it now processes trillions of listening and engagement signals daily to better understand user preferences and build more customized features.

The company currently has 761 million active users worldwide, including nearly 300 million paid subscribers.
