For Filipinos who have embraced online entertainment as part of their daily routine, the thrill of gaming comes with a critical concern: security.

In a move to strengthen player protection in the country’s growing digital entertainment space, DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the provider behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, has partnered with Philippines First Insurance Co., Inc. (PhilFirst), the country’s first domestic insurance company, to roll out an industry-first surety bond program for online gaming players.

With over 119 years in the service, PhilFirst offers a wide range of non-life insurance coverage to individuals and companies. PhilFirst has continued to evolve with the market while staying true to its mission of bringing peace of mind, making Filipinos enjoy more opportunities — including those online gaming endeavors to offer.

‎”DigiPlus is proud to be the first in the industry to roll out this level of consumer protection. We are committed to putting our players first,” DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio H. Tanco said.

For Mr. Tanco and his team, the initiative is not only about securing funds but also strengthening trust within DigiPlus’ system.

For Filipino players, this means that every click is backed by a bond that represents more than numbers. It represents reliability and peace of mind.

Setting a new benchmark in consumer protection, it offers players greater financial security. The partnership will enable eligible players to have their wallet balances protected up to P1 million per player without the need for a separate policy.

Jasper Vicencio, AB Leisure Exponent, Inc. president; Atty. Kristine delos Reyes, DigiPlus Interactive Corp. chief legal and compliance officer; Eusebio Tanco, DigiPlus Interactive Corp. chairman; Celeste Jovenir, DigiPlus Interactive Corp. VP of Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Sustainability; Ana Evasco, PhilFirst chief operations officer; and Dennis Yaw, DigiPlus Interactive Corp. head of Offline Operations

‎The surety bond better safeguards the players’ logs: as long as they are eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer)-verified, have made at least one successful deposit, and in good standing within the platform’s guidelines, they are automatically covered.

Thus, both casual players and loyal ones can enjoy BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone in confidence, knowing their funds are protected.

‎Furthermore, the launch of surety bond enhances DigiPlus’ existing 24/7 customer support and its more than 130 physical BingoPlus outlets nationwide.

By aligning itself with PhilFirst, DigiPlus not only positions itself as an industry leader but also showcases its willingness to collaborate with institutions that embody credibility.
