What happens when one person decides to build an entire fantasy world from scratch? You get Journey of Realm: Dawn Dew, a gorgeous 2D turn-based adventure that just launched today and is ready to wow players at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
Published by China-based Another Indie and developed by solo dev CongSe Studio, Dawn Dew is making its debut in the TGS Indie Game Area (Booth 11-E63), where visitors can get hands-on with its lush pixel art and strategic combat.
Your quest begins
You’ll step into the boots of Dew, a young girl journeying through mystical forests, sprawling jungles, and ten uniquely crafted regions. You’ll be leaping over platforms, wading through streams, and cracking tricky puzzles along the way.

The battles? A tactical playground. There are 11 combat styles, over 100 active and passive skills, and more than 100 usable items to mix and match. It’s the kind of system that lets you experiment with builds until you find that one chef’s kiss combo that makes every fight satisfying.
Why TGS matters for Dew’s journey
TGS has a habit of turning hidden gems into the next big thing, and Dawn Dew feels like it has the makings of a breakout hit. Built entirely by one developer, it’s proof that indie games can go toe-to-toe with the big leagues when it comes to ambition, creativity, and pure heart.
If you’re heading to the show, make sure to drop by the Indie Game Area, Booth 11-E63, and see what one person’s imagination (and probably a lot of coffee) can create. This might be one of those games you brag about discovering early.
