MacBook Neo lands in PH as a more practical Mac for everyday users

Beyond the Box and Digital Walker officially launched the MacBook Neo in the Philippines last April 23, 2026 at the Glorietta Activity Center. The launch introduced a new MacBook option, which is more focused on being the one that makes sense for everyday users.

Starting at P39,990, the MacBook Neo arrives as one of the more approachable ways to enter the MacBook family. It comes in four colors, Citrus, Blush, Indigo, and Silver, and is being positioned for students, professionals, creators, and first-time Mac users who want a laptop that is light, capable, and easy to bring anywhere. According to the launch announcement, the device promises an all-day battery experience, responsive performance, a vibrant display, and seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem.

This kind of positioning matters because buying a laptop often becomes a question of how much power people think they need versus how much they actually use. For many students, families, young professionals, and everyday users, the most expensive or most powerful MacBook is not always the most practical choice.

Sometimes, the better option is one that simply works, and works well. One that fits daily routines, lasts long enough away from the charger, looks good, and costs less.

A more economical way into Mac

The Neo’s biggest argument is its price. Starting at P 39,990, it sits as a more economical entry point into the MacBook lineup, especially for those who want the Mac experience without breaking the bank by jumping into Apple’s pricier models.

The lower price point, of course, does not automatically make the Neo the better MacBook. The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro still exist for a reason, offering more performance headroom and stronger capabilities for technical and creative workloads. The MacBook Neo, however, serves a different kind of buyer. It is for people who need a laptop for browsing, online meetings, classwork, documents, spreadsheets, light editing, managing files, and staying connected across other Apple devices.

In other words, it is not trying to be the machine for everything. It is more about trying to be enough for most everyday things.

    Why “enough” IS the point

The MacBook Neo arrives when many buyers are encouraged to think bigger than they may need. Higher-end chips, more memory, larger storage, and pro-grade performance all sound attractive, but not every user benefits from paying extra for them.

For a student who mostly writes papers, joins video calls, takes notes, watches lectures, and edits occasional photos or short videos, a Pro-level machine can easily become overkill. The same applies to parents buying a laptop for family and recreational use, or even professionals whose work is mostly built around emails, documents, web apps, and communication tools.

This is where the Neo’s value becomes clearer. It does not need to beat the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro in raw performance. Its role is to make the MacBook proposition feel more practical.

    Release in the Philippines

For those who see themselves in what the MacBook Neo is offering, the device is now available at Beyond the Box and Digital Walker stores nationwide, through their online channels, and via official stores on Shopee and Lazada. It also comes with 0% installment plans for up to 36 months, giving buyers more flexibility in making the jump to Mac.

Early buyers also received added perks such as a free Apple Watch SE for the first 400 qualifying purchases and raffle prizes that included an iPhone Air as the grand prize.
