Introducing the realme Pad 2: Affordable Excellence

It’s hard to come by an affordable tablet that boasts gaming prowess. Usually, tablets under the “affordable” category are touted as multimedia consumption device — and that’s it! We think the realme Pad 2 breaks the glass ceiling because of the Helio G99 processor, which is also found in the recently released realme 11. The G99 is MediaTek’s afforda-gaming processor which means it can run popular games on the Play Store at 120Hz — duly note that the pad 2 really maximizes this feature, as this is the true limit of the Helio G99 (the realme 11 is more conservative with a maximum of 90Hz screen refresh rate).

realme truly built a beautiful device around the processor. Apart from taking advantage of super fast screen refresh rates, superb gaming peformace, and efficient battery life (you can binge watch two seasons of Castlevania on Netflix and still have battery to end the day. And if you do need to charge, the 33W SuperVOOC charger pulls you up to 50% from zero in twenty minutes in my experience. I need to talk about the standy time — I’ve actually left the device idle for a week and only got 5% drain from 100% (this is with no SIM card attached).

The realme pad 2 is a looker. What’s with realme and shades of green? Here’s the device side by side my realme 11 pro+ and they really complement. In real world practice, I bought a prepaid SMART SIM with never-expiring Magic Data (that’s 48GB!) and slotted it into the nano SIM card slot, so on the go I have a tablet that’s really truly connected via 4G.

You may notice in photos that the pad 2 has some linear streaks — this is because I added a grip film strip to keep the device from slipping while still preserving the “sexy back.” If you’re looking for an exceptional camera, well, this tablet has adequate front and back cameras. It’s crisp when it needs to be, but nothing exceptional to write home about.

Striking the perfect balance with a large 8360mAh battery and blazing-fast 33W SUPERVOOC charging, that are both larger than its predecessor, the realme Pad 2 ensures uninterrupted use throughout the day. This ensures that users never miss a moment of entertainment and are always ready for action, no matter how busy the day gets.

On top of this, the realme Pad 2 has a standby time of up to 59 days, or even up to 17 hours of video playback, 190 hours of music streaming, and 24 hours of reading.
Powered by the robust MediaTek Helio G99 processor, the realme Pad 2 guarantees top-notch performance, excelling in both work and play. The seamless LTE connectivity also keeps users connected wherever life takes them.
Additionally, the dedicated gaming processor boasting flagship-tier power efficiency can support casual to average gaming. This makes the realme Pad 2 a great device for those who play Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Mobile, League Of Legends: Wild Rift, Farlight 84, Pokemon Unite, PUBG: Mobile, Asphalt 9, Genshin Impact (Medium), Dragon Nest 2, among others.

The realme Pad 2 offers vibrant colors and a high refresh rate, serving as the canvas for creativity and entertainment; its 11.5-inch 2K display offers breathtaking visuals. The realme Pad 2’s silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate ensures that every interaction is a visual delight, whether it’s binge-watching series, scrolling through social media, or diving into a good e-book.

Here are two photo samples from the main 8MP back camera in morning natural light. It’s OK!
