It’s rare to see a brand stay relevant for over two decades, but TCL has managed to do just that—and more. Celebrating its 25th year in the Philippines, TCL marked the milestone with a grand launch event held at Okada Manila, themed “Legendary Moment, Timeless Greatness.” More than just a retrospect, the night also offered a glimpse into the future of home technology.

From being known primarily as a TV brand, TCL has evolved into a full-fledged home technology powerhouse—dominating categories like air conditioning, refrigerators, and washing machines. The company has been recently recognized by market research company Omdia as the Global Top 1 brand in Mini LED, Google TV, and Ultra-Large Screen TVs (85 inches and above).

“In the past, TCL has achieved remarkable results in the Philippine market. Our TV and AC sales both hold the number one market share in sales volume and have become trusted brands among consumers,” shared Griffin Zhang, General Manager of TCL’s Asia Pacific Business Group. “Looking ahead, TCL will continue to uphold the principle of ‘Technology Creates A Better Life’—constantly innovating and improving product quality and service levels.”

For Peter Chen, CEO of TCL Philippines, innovation is not just part of the strategy—it’s part of the company’s DNA. “We are not a follower, but a trailblazer,” he said passionately. “For us, innovation is going beyond our limits. It’s about developing cutting-edge, sustainable technologies that blend fashion and function. Let’s work together, progress together, and prosper together.”

The evening featured the unveiling of TCL’s 2025 product lineup—centered around four pillars of innovation, dubbed ‘cooler, cleaner, smarter, and sharper.’ Highlights included the upcoming X11K QD-Mini LED TV, the TCL FreshIN 3.0 air conditioner, the Super Drum Combo+ washer-dryer, and a sleek new bottom-mounted refrigerator. All are designed to make everyday life more intuitive and efficient.

Particularly impressive was the new FreshIN 3.0 air conditioning unit, which addresses respiratory health, energy savings, and smart voice-controlled convenience. “FreshIN 3.0 offers air so clean, you can see the difference,” said Bert Cheung, Deputy Product Director of Air Conditioner, TCL Philippines. “With a QuadruPuri filter and ultra-quiet fresh air module, it’s designed to care for your health and your power bill.”

EJ Obiena and Shae Yu, Deputy Director of Marketing of TCL Philippines talk about perseverance and the Olympics sponsorships.

The event also spotlighted TCL’s global partnership with the Olympic Games, extending through 2032. “Being a worldwide Olympic partner is more than just a badge of honor—it’s a declaration,” said Shae Yu, Deputy Director of Marketing, TCL Philippines. “It’s about inspiring greatness, just as our innovations aim to empower people in their daily lives—whether you’re chasing gold or just chasing your toddler around the house.”

To everyone’s pleasant surprise, Olympian and Filipino pride EJ Obiena, who holds the Asian record in pole vault, was introduced as a brand ambassador. “Just as TCL innovates to improve everyday living, athletes train to push boundaries. We both chase greatness,” he said.

Actresses Rhian Ramos and Valeen Montenegro also joined the stage, expressing their excitement about being TCL brand partners. For Rhian, her go-to is the FreshIN 3.0 AC, especially for its energy-saving features and hands-free voice commands. Valeen, on the other hand, swears by the QD MiniLED TV. “It’s turned my home into a cinema,” she smiled.

Capping off the evening, TCL’s leadership team raised a toast to the next 25 years. “TCL is a promise—to innovate, connect, and redefine,” said Wesley Yang, Deputy Director of Retail. And if the night was any indication, that promise is only just beginning.

Cyd Montebon, TCL Philippines Deputy Director of Sales, and Wesley Yang, Deputy Director of Retail close the evening and toast to 25 years of TCL.
