Organizations are under pressure to strengthen data protection while keeping technology investments cost-effective as security threats and compliance requirements become more complex, according to Synology.

According to Synology, businesses need infrastructure that not only stores data but also protects it against a range of risks. Organizations are looking for solutions that combine security, scalability, and efficiency rather than treating them as separate priorities.

“We actually do that through some of our solutions in terms of scalable storage, not just storage, but also secure servers and ways for you to protect your data,” said Claire Huang, country manager for the Philippines at Synology.

Huang noted that protecting business data requires more than simply maintaining a single backup. She said organizations should consider multiple layers of protection, including immutable copies that cannot be altered, copies stored both on-premises and in the cloud, and air-gapped copies that remain isolated from the network. These approaches are intended to improve data resilience while giving organizations more recovery options.

She said Synology’s storage and data protection portfolio is designed to address these requirements by combining secure infrastructure with different backup methods. Instead of focusing solely on storage capacity, the company also emphasizes technologies that help customers protect critical business information.

Huang said organizations are increasingly trying to find the right balance between protecting data and managing costs. As businesses deploy more security measures and backup strategies, they also need infrastructure that delivers the required level of performance without unnecessary expense.

“All of these that we provide become a balance between performance and cost efficiency. These are solutions that we want to address all the questions that we mentioned earlier,” Huang said.

Huang said Synology’s approach is on helping organizations address security and compliance challenges through scalable storage, secure servers, and layered data protection. By combining immutable backups, cloud and on-premises copies, and air-gapped storage, the company aims to provide customers with options that support both operational performance and cost efficiency while protecting critical business data.
