Acer continues to be the Philippines’ best-selling laptop brand, according to the latest market data.
Figures from Nielsen-GfK covering the first five months of 2026 show Acer accounted for 37% of consumer laptop sales in the country. It also captured 34.5% of the gaming laptop market, keeping its lead in both categories.
The latest results build on a strong 2025 for the company. Research firm IDC earlier reported that Acer was the country’s top laptop brand from 2006 to 2025. Last year, the company reached its highest-ever consumer laptop market share at 37.3%, helped by strong demand for both everyday and gaming laptops.
The latest milestone comes as Acer celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
“These achievements are deeply meaningful to us as we celebrate Acer’s 50th anniversary,” said Sue Ong-Lim, managing director of Acer Philippines. “They reflect our strong commitment to our mission of breaking barriers between people and technology, one that has guided our innovations for five decades.”
Acer said its success is not only driven by its laptops but also by its nationwide retail stores, service centers, and marketing campaigns.
One of its biggest annual events is Acer Day, which turns 10 this year. The campaign combines product deals with concerts, games, and community activities for students and young professionals.
The company also organizes the Asia Pacific Predator League, now in its eighth year. The tournament brings together esports teams from across the region and has become one of Acer’s biggest gaming events.
Beyond consumer products, Acer is also expanding its efforts in education through the Acer Edu Summit, where educators, government officials, and technology experts discuss how artificial intelligence and other digital tools can improve learning.
