Shopee is helping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) streamline daily operations through artificial intelligence (AI) tools that manage customer inquiries and improve product listings.
For New Earth, known for its eco-friendly washable paper bags, handling day-to-day tasks used to be a strain. With only six team members, the group had to juggle customer messages, order updates, and backend work at the same time.
“We take turns answering customer inquiries,” said Valerie Pineda, founder of New Earth. “Whenever our admin assistant is busy and cannot reply, I step in and help respond to customers.”
Manual replies became time-consuming, especially during peak periods when message volumes increased. The team often had to pause other tasks just to keep up with inquiries.
To address this, New Earth adopted Shopee’s Chat AI Assistant. The tool automates routine responses such as delivery updates, order status, and product availability, reducing the need for manual replies.
“It helps us immensely because we don’t have to go through every single message anymore,” Pineda said.
Additional features like FAQ Assistant and Auto Reply allow sellers to handle common questions quickly, improving response time while freeing up resources for other priorities.
Shopee also offers a Product AI Optimiser to help sellers enhance their listings. The tool can recommend high-performing cover images, generate polished product visuals, and guide buyers on sizing based on seller-provided charts.
These features help reduce repetitive work while improving product presentation and customer experience.
