Shokz OpenFit Pro brings noise reduction to open-ear design

Wireless earbuds are easy to lose. They slip out, fall under seats, or disappear in the middle of a commute. It’s a small problem, but one that happens often enough to be frustrating.

The Shokz OpenFit Pro leans into a different approach to solve that. Instead of going in-ear, the earbuds sit just outside the ear, hooked in place. The design makes them feel more secure, while still letting in ambient sound, which is useful for travel, walking, or workouts.

Shokz is also introducing what it calls Open-Ear Noise Reduction, a first for the brand. The system uses three microphones and software that adapts to your ear to reduce surrounding noise. It doesn’t fully block sound like traditional noise canceling, but it helps make audio clearer in busy environments.

On audio, the OpenFit Pro gets a boost from a dual-diaphragm driver under Shokz’s SuperBoost branding. The company says this setup improves bass and detail without sacrificing clarity. The driver size, 11 × 20 mm, is larger than what you typically see in open-ear models, which helps give the sound more depth. Support for Dolby Atmos and head tracking is also included for compatible content.

OpenFit Pro focuses its design on comfort, awareness, and a more secure fit, areas where open-ear designs tend to stand out.

The earbuds are built for long wear. They use a soft silicone material and a thin, flexible ear hook that adjusts to different ear shapes. The goal is to keep them comfortable and stable, even during extended use.

Battery life is in line with other premium earbuds. You get up to 12 hours on a single charge, extending to 50 hours with the case. A quick 10-minute charge adds up to four hours of listening time, and the case supports wireless charging.

Other features include multipoint pairing, IP55 resistance for sweat and light rain, automatic wear detection, and app-based controls. There’s also a “find my earbuds” feature, which feels like a necessary addition given how easy small devices are to misplace.

OpenFit Pro focuses its design on comfort, awareness, and a more secure fit, areas where open-ear designs tend to stand out. Now available at PowerMac Center for P14,999.
