FUJIFILM Philippines officially unveiled the FUJIFILM X-T30 III, the latest addition to its acclaimed X Series of mirrorless cameras, at an intimate launch event in Makati City. The event brought together professional photographers, enthusiasts, content creators, and Fujifilm loyalists to explore the camera’s capabilities, share ideas, and celebrate a milestone in Fujifilm’s legacy of innovation.

The gathering featured a talk from X-Photographer Ricky Ladia, who highlighted the X-T30 III’s unique combination of compact design, responsive performance, and Fujifilm’s renowned color science. Attendees had the chance to handle the camera firsthand, test its new features, and witness its creative potential through live demonstrations. The event’s relaxed atmosphere encouraged networking, knowledge sharing, and an appreciation for the craft of photography.

    Compact design, classic style

The X-T30 III is designed to balance portability with professional-grade capabilities. Weighing just 378g, it retains the classic center-viewfinder style that X Series enthusiasts love. Its durable magnesium and aluminum body ensures the camera is travel-ready while remaining comfortable to hold during extended shoots. This combination of light weight, familiar ergonomics, and tactile dials makes it ideal for street, travel, and lifestyle photography.

    Powerful sensor and processing

At the heart of the X-T30 III is a 26.1-megapixel back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor paired with the X-Processor 5. This pairing delivers approximately twice the processing speed of the previous model, ensuring fast image handling, accurate color reproduction, and improved autofocus performance. Early hands-on reviews highlight its responsiveness, rapid startup, and efficient buffer clearing — all while maintaining the analog-inspired charm that Fujifilm cameras are known for.

    Enhanced autofocus and shooting

One of the most notable upgrades is the AI-powered subject detection autofocus. The system can intelligently track people, animals, birds, vehicles, and more, enabling photographers to focus on composition rather than hunting for focus. Continuous shooting supports up to 8 fps with the mechanical shutter, 20 fps electronic, and 30 fps with a 1.25× crop. These capabilities make the X-T30 III particularly versatile for capturing fast-moving subjects in street, travel, or documentary photography.

Film simulation dial for creative freedom

The new Film Simulation dial is a standout feature, providing instant access to 20 film simulation modes, including fan favorites like REALA ACE and NOSTALGIC Neg. Users can also save three custom “recipes” (FS1–FS3), allowing photographers to quickly switch between signature looks. This intuitive, tactile control was praised by attendees for making creative experimentation immediate and fun. Online reviews have echoed this sentiment, noting that the dial enhances the playful, artistic experience Fujifilm cameras are known for.

    Video and content creation capabilities

The X-T30 III is also designed for videographers and content creators, supporting 6.2K/30p internal recording, 4K/60p, and 1080p/240p slow motion. Combined with the lightweight body and intuitive controls, the camera enables creators to produce professional-quality content without cumbersome setups. The built-in pop-up flash, AUTO shooting mode lever, and tilting touchscreen LCD further enhance usability for both beginners and experienced shooters.

    Pricing, availability, and color options

The FUJIFILM X-T30 III is now available nationwide through authorized Fujifilm retailers:

    • PHP 58,990 — body only
    • PHP 68,990 — with kit lens

Color options include Black, Silver, and Charcoal Silver.

    Celebrating community and creativity

Beyond specs and features, the launch event emphasized Fujifilm’s commitment to fostering a vibrant photography community. Guests shared tips, explored the camera’s Film Simulation modes, and tested the autofocus and video features in a collaborative, welcoming environment. The X-T30 III’s combination of portability, creative control, and performance resonated strongly with attendees, many describing it as “tempting” and “inspiring.”

With the X-T30 III, FUJIFILM Philippines continues its mission to make photography joyful, accessible, and full of creative possibilities. The camera invites photographers of all levels to capture moments vividly and share their stories with confidence.
