A fully decked out 16-inch M3 Max Macbook Pro will cost you almost half a million pesos

It’s actually P441,990. But you get the picture. A fully decked out MacBook Pro running the new M3 chip will set you back this much. But of course, it’s rather overkill (or is it?).

Apple recently announced their new M3 line of processors — the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max. For most people sitting in the sidelines, this simply means that the previous M1 and M2 processors may get price slashes soon. But for those who are opting for a “basic” M3 14-inch MacBook Pro, you can actually get one for P104,990. This gets you 8GB of memory and a 512GB SSD storage.

The fully decked out M3 Max may be a tad overkill with 128GB of memory and 8TB of SSD storage space. We’re talking 22 hours of battery life, XDR display, three Thunderbolt ports, HDMI out display, SDXC card slot, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Who would buy this? Well, if you work in production, it is not uncommon for a single project to land you a CE for more than half a million pesos. So it’s all good.
