Ookla says it again: DITO is the network Filipinos trust the most

DITO Telecommunity CEO Eric Alberto, together with key executives, Chief Revenue Officer Atty. Adel Tamano, and Chief Technology Officer Maj. Gen. Rodolfo Santiago, proudly received the Ookla® Speedtest Intelligence® award for the third consecutive year. DITO achieved the highest mobile network rating in the Philippines for Q3–Q4 2024 with a total score of 3.7, surpassing Smart (3.3) and Globe (3.2). This three-peat milestone underscores DITO’s growing influence in the telco industry, driven by its commitment to value-for-money offerings, advanced technology, and improved customer experience.

Three years in, and DITO’s hot streak shows no signs of slowing down.

In a clear sign that the underdog telco is becoming a household name, DITO Telecommunity has been named the Rated #1 Mobile Network in the Philippines by Ookla—again. That’s three consecutive wins from the global leader in internet performance metrics, a rare feat for any player, let alone one that only entered the market in 2021.

“Being recognized as the Rated #1 Mobile Network for the third time is a testament to the trust placed in us,” said DITO CEO Eric Alberto. “As a young telco, this recognition drives us to keep innovating, continuously improve our services, and empower the digital lives of more Filipinos. We remain committed to nation-building, investing in our infrastructure, and giving Filipinos the reliable connectivity and excellent customer service they deserve.”

Alberto and other DITO executives received the award at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, a fitting stage for a telco that’s eager to prove it can compete globally.

    Beating the giants

According to Ookla’s Speedtest Intelligence data for Q3–Q4 2024, DITO earned an average customer satisfaction score of 3.7, edging out Smart’s 3.3 and Globe’s 3.2. The score is based on direct user feedback from people who ran network tests and rated their experience via Speedtest.

It’s not just Ookla singing DITO’s praises. Opensignal, another respected mobile analytics firm, also recently named DITO the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines, bolstering the brand’s claim to being a serious contender in the telco space.

    More than speed

For a company that launched just a few years ago, DITO’s rise has been aggressive. By offering competitive data promos, app-based account management, and a customer-first approach, the brand has tapped into a generation of digital-native users looking for alternatives to legacy providers.

While bigger networks have scale and longevity, DITO is betting that agility, affordability, and customer satisfaction will carry it into the mainstream.

For those curious, DITO services are available via the DITO App, physical Experience Stores, and major online platforms like Shopee and Lazada.
