In 2024, Moovr, the first app-enabled and e-scooter sharing service, has continued to empower the Filipino community’s sustainable urban living. The innovative mobility solution has aided cities such as Bonifacio Global City (BGC) to address traffic congestion within the area while also significantly reducing their carbon footprint.

Moovr in BGC: 2024 in Review

More city residents and community members have chosen Moovr as their sustainable transportation option in 2024. The micromobility transport service has onboarded about 250,000 new customers this year, highlighting the undeniable shift in how people move around cities. This year, Moovr has also surpassed over 1 million rides, making it clear that the service resonates with the communities it serves.

Furthermore, Moovr has travelled a total of 1,285,588.16 kilometers (km) this year. Its rising popularity among members of the city dwellers has translated to tangible environmental benefits as Moovr has recorded a staggering offset of 308,541 kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. This underscores Moovr’s crucial role in combating climate change.

“These milestones are proof that sustainable mobility is a vision that we are slowly turning into a reality,” said Carlo Rombano, Vice President of Operations at Moovr. “Our goal has always been to offer safe, convenient, and eco-friendly micromobility services that improve urban living.”

Moovr Takes Charge in Urban Sustainability

As Moovr continues to deploy its fleet of bikes and e-scooters around cities such as BGC, it enables the urban residents and city dwellers to move around safely and sustainably. With a record number of people choosing sustainable transport modes along with Moovr’s measurable environmental impact, the bike and scooter sharing service leads the cities it serves  to a sustainable urban development.

“This simply shows the endless possibilities of what we can do to continue safeguarding the environment when we collaborate with local communities to prioritize sustainability,” remarked Shiela Raña, Moovr’s Head of Fleet Management. “We look forward to continuing expanding and creating more positive change in the Philippines in the new year.”
