Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) is rolling out AI-powered smart glasses in the Philippines.
The company is offering the Rokid AI Glasses, which come with native access to Google Gemini, starting Friday, May 29, 2026. The launch expands Smart Postpaid into what it calls next-generation devices under the emerging AI wearables category.
Through an exclusive partnership with Rokid, new and existing subscribers of Smart Postpaid Plans+ 1499 can get the glasses starting at ₱28,800 via straight payment. Smart Infinity members can get the device for free under Plan 5000.
“With its powerful, hands-free capabilities, the Rokid AI Glasses feel almost like a ‘superpower,’ enabling our subscribers to do more, create more, and stay ahead,” said Lloyd Manaloto, first vice president and co-OIC at Smart.
The glasses are powered by Google Gemini, enabling voice-based AI interactions, real-time translation, search, content generation, task support, and contextual assistance without needing to use a smartphone.
Aside from Gemini, the international version of the Rokid AI Glasses also supports other large language models (LLM), including ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Qwen, giving users access to multiple AI systems in one device.
For creators, the glasses include a 12-megapixel camera and private audio for hands-free content capture. For travelers, they offer live translation and navigation support. For professionals, features include transcription and a built-in teleprompter for presentations.
Weighing 49 grams, the device is designed for portability and daily use.
“By making Rokid AI Glasses available on Smart Postpaid and Infinity Plans, we are enabling more Filipinos to experience the future of connectivity today,” said Marjorie Garrovillo, first vice president and co-OIC at Smart.
Smart Postpaid Plans+ 1499 includes 40GB open-access data, 5G data for 12 months, unlimited calls and texts, and lifestyle perks. Infinity members get additional benefits such as dedicated support, concierge services, and premium allowances.
Customers can visit select Smart Stores to get the Rokid AI Glasses or purchase them as a standalone device.
