DITO Telecommunity has been named the #1 Rated Mobile Network in the Philippines for the second half of 2025, based on a report by independent network analytics firm Ookla.
The ranking is based on real-world data collected from users through Ookla’s Speedtest platform. The results indicate how people actually experience mobile internet in everyday use, such as browsing, streaming, video calls, and online work.
Ookla’s five-star rating system measures a consumer’s overall satisfaction with their network operator. At the end of a test, users are prompted to “Rate Your Provider” and are presented with a range of one to five stars. Based on the results of these ratings, DITO was awarded the #1 Rated Mobile Network in the Philippines.
“Recognition from Ookla affirms that what we have been building is working, not just in terms of network performance, but in how we are serving Filipinos,” Eric Alberto, CEO of DITO, said. “Connectivity today is more than a service. It is essential infrastructure that enables people, businesses, and communities to move forward.”
DITO said the recognition shows that its continued investments in network infrastructure are starting to deliver results for its growing customer base. The company has focused on building and expanding its network, to be able to provide connectivity to a consistently growing subscriber base.
The company noted that reliable internet has become increasingly important as more Filipinos depend on digital services. From remote work and online learning to e-commerce and digital payments, a stable connection is now a basic requirement for daily life.
DITO said its network improvements are designed to support these needs, allowing users and businesses to respond faster and operate more efficiently. For example, better speeds and lower delay can make video calls smoother, reduce buffering when streaming, and improve overall app performance.
The recognition from Ookla adds to a growing list of awards received by DITO from global analytics firms. These recognitions are often used as benchmarks in the telecom industry because they are based on independent data rather than internal company testing.
At the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, KAi was honored for Innovation in AI-Driven Customer Service. At the Asian Telecom Awards 2026, it was recognized as AI Initiative of the Year in the Philippines, alongside DITO’s Cybersecurity Initiative of the Year—highlighting strength not only in customer experience, but also in digital trust.
On the global stage, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona—one of the world’s most significant telecom gatherings—DITO stood alongside industry leaders, earning top recognitions from Ookla and Opensignal for network performance and customer experience.
Taken together, these recognitions signal a clear shift: DITO is no longer just the newest player in the industry—it is fast emerging as a globally competitive, full-spectrum operator, validated across AI, security, and network quality.
DITO said the latest recognition supports its long-term strategy of combining infrastructure expansion with technology partnerships to improve user experience. The company has been continuously upgrading its network to keep up with increasing demand.
As it continues to expand its coverage, DITO said its aims to keep on making high-quality internet more accessible to more Filipinos. The company added that improving connectivity is key to supporting the country’s digital growth and helping communities and businesses stay connected.
The telco said the recognition is not a shift in direction, but a validation of the approach it has followed since entering the market: invest in infrastructure, improve performance, and deliver a better experience for users.
