American audio brand JBL is leaning into AI-assisted karaoke, gaming, and portable entertainment as it celebrates its 80th anniversary with a new lineup of speakers, microphones and headphones unveiled in the Philippines.
The company launched the products during its 80th anniversary celebration at Clark Marriott Hotel in Pampanga, from May 15 to 17, showcasing new features aimed at casual creators, gamers and music listeners.
Among the key additions are the JBL EasySing microphones, which use AI Vocal Removal technology to reduce or remove vocals from songs streamed online, effectively turning tracks into instant karaoke versions. The feature allows users to lower vocals by 25 percent, 50 percent or fully mute them.
JBL said the microphones are designed for karaoke sessions, livestreams, and content creation, with support for voice enhancement, noise suppression, and wireless connectivity.
Some PartyBox speaker models, including the PartyBox Encore 2 Plus and PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus, now have the AI vocal removal feature built directly into the speakers.
The company also expanded its portable speaker lineup with the JBL Go 5 and JBL Xtreme 5, both equipped with longer battery life and upgraded audio systems.
On the personal audio side, JBL introduced new Live and Tune series headphones and earbuds featuring adaptive noise cancelling, spatial sound and extended battery performance.
The brand also refreshed its Quantum gaming headset lineup, targeting competitive gamers with low-latency audio and replaceable components.
JBL capped the anniversary celebration with an “Audio Playground” event in Clark Global City featuring gaming tournaments, workshops and performances by Filipino artists including Ben&Ben, Dionela and Al James.
