Fans of BTS can unlock exclusive content tied to the group’s upcoming album “Arirang” through a scavenger hunt embedded in Google Search.
The interactive feature appears when users search for “BTS” on Google Search. A small bottle icon appears on the screen, opening a trivia-based game that leads fans through puzzles and questions about the group’s career.
The experience functions as a digital Easter egg designed for the band’s fan community (ARMY), as excitement builds for the album’s release on March 20.
Once the game begins, participants answer a series of trivia questions that test their knowledge of BTS’s decade-long history. The puzzles range from references to the group’s chart milestones, including its first No. 1 on the Billboard charts, to lyric-based emoji challenges tied to its songs.
Each completed quest unlocks collectible cards that reveal pieces of the “Arirang” tracklist. In total, fans can collect 14 cards featuring artwork and handwritten titles from the group’s members.
The collectibles include handwritten track titles such as “SWIM,” attributed to Jungkook, and “Merry Go Round,” written by Jin. The cards serve as early teasers for the upcoming album while encouraging fans to continue exploring the game.
Google is releasing parts of the scavenger hunt in stages ahead of the album launch. The initial set of challenges allows fans to begin collecting the first group of rewards labeled “Your love songs.” Additional “sealed” quests are scheduled to unlock on March 9 and March 16, gradually expanding the hunt as the release date approaches.
The final set of rewards will become available on March 20, the same day “Arirang” is scheduled to drop.
The scavenger hunt follows similar interactive campaigns previously launched on Google Search to celebrate major cultural moments. For BTS fans, however, the feature also offers a preview of the group’s new music and a chance to engage with the album rollout in a more interactive way.
The campaign coincides with growing excitement for the band’s comeback activities, including the upcoming “BTS The Comeback Live” event on Netflix.
Fans can start the scavenger hunt by simply searching “BTS” on Google and following the prompts that appear on the screen.
