PLDT Home is strengthening its position as the go-to digital lifestyle provider by teaming up with iGV Game Pass, adding gaming to its growing lineup of entertainment bundles that already includes Netflix and HBO Max.
In a recent press briefing, a PLDT emphasized that connectivity today is about more than speed. It’s about experiences.
“More than the content itself, it’s the experiences that we want. We know that our subscribers spend a lot of time with their families at home, and we want to ensure that connectivity is constant, reliable, and high-speed. We complete the equation by making sure that they have access to the applications that matter, streaming and gaming included.”
Gaming joins PLDT’s content ecosystem
Under the partnership, PLDT Home broadband subscribers on select premium plans (₱2,499 and ₱3,199) receive a free 12-month iGV Game Pass subscription. This bundle gives families access to over 200 PC games, expanding the company’s push toward becoming a one-stop hub for digital entertainment.
A new kind of “Home” experience
The move builds on PLDT Home’s ongoing strategy of integrating lifestyle services into its broadband offerings. After earlier success with streaming partnerships like Netflix and HBO Max, gaming is the next logical step.
“What you’re seeing today—with Signal, Netflix, gaming platforms like iGV, and HBO Max—is just the beginning. We’ll continue to develop other offerings that will make connectivity and the home lifestyle experience relevant to all our subscribers.”
The company also assured current customers that upgrades will be simple:
“If you’re already on the ₱2,499 or ₱3,199 plan, you’ll continue to enjoy all these new offers. Just visit pldthome.com and subscribe. We promise a seamless and uneventful journey from application to installation.”
What subscribers can expect
The iGV Game Pass acts like an all-access ticket to a virtual game room, with hundreds of titles that can be downloaded or streamed on PC. While PLDT Home focuses on connectivity and customer experience, iGV handles the game distribution and account access platform.
For households where family members use the internet for different things—streaming, gaming, remote work, and study—the partnership positions PLDT Home as more than an ISP. It becomes, as the executive described, “the ultimate home lifestyle brand.”
