Osaka’s indie scene is about to make some noise at Tokyo Game Show 2025. YAO!GAMES, the in-house studio of YAOYA Corporation, is making its debut at the indie game corner with a playable demo of YAOYA THE GAME—a fast-paced greengrocer management action title that blends simulation with arcade chaos.
Players step into the shoes of a greengrocer employee tasked with keeping customers happy while juggling the unpredictable rhythm of vegetable and fruit sales. It’s as much about reflexes as it is about resource management. The game is currently in development for PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5, with release details yet to be announced.
But that’s not all YAO!GAMES is bringing to Makuhari Messe. Their experimental wing, YAO!GAMES LAB, will also showcase a series of micro-games—bite-sized prototypes developed monthly around unique themes. These projects, already enjoyed more than 50,000 times on platforms like unityroom and itch.io, highlight the studio’s dedication to playful experimentation and community-driven development.

For an Osaka startup that only officially launched in January 2025, YAO!GAMES has been busy: one main title in the works, a steady stream of micro-games, and a developer community 140 strong. Expect their booth [11-C38] in the Indie Game Corner to be buzzing with curious players and fresh ideas.
