Smartphone brand POCO is bringing the POCO M8s 5G to the Philippines this April, and is considered as a step up from its entry-level lineup focusing on battery life, display quality, and everyday performance.

The POCO M8s 5G uses a 6.7-inch 1.5K display aimed at sharper visuals and smoother viewing. It also carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for reduced eye strain and includes a feature that keeps the screen responsive even with wet or oily fingers.

The POCO M8s 5G is built with a 7,000mAh battery, which promises to last up to two days on a single charge. Even at 1% battery, it can still support nearly an hour of calls or several hours on standby. The battery is also rated to retain at least 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles.

It is equipped with 33W fast charging, with 18W reverse charging for powering other devices. A built-in smart charging system is designed to manage battery health over time.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, along with up to 16GB RAM through memory extension and up to 2TB expandable storage. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS, with features such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search for faster information access.

The smartphone has a 50MP AI dual camera with editing tools like AI Erase and AI Sky. Other features include a 200% volume boost, side fingerprint sensor, and IP64-rated dust and water resistance.

In the Philippines, it will debut on Shopee from April 21 to April 30 before expanding to other platforms. Early Bird prices are set at ₱11,999 and ₱13,999, respectively, giving budget buyers a more powerful option within POCO’s lineup.
