New affordable tablet: TechLife Pad sells for P8,999

I sometimes get messages from friend asking for affordable tablet recommendations. They fall under the following categories: a simple tablet for Google Docs at a shop or a Netflix / Disney+ media consumption device. The biggest factor would be price — anything below P10,000 will do.

So here I am recommending the TechLife Pad because at launch, it sells for only P8,999. For those unfamiliar, TechLife is a sub-brand of realme focusing on affordable mainstream devices. No “flagship killers” here. What you get are robust devices for the budget conscious. I have a realme Pad 2 at home and I can see how the TechLife Pad borrows a lot of the form factor and back design adding a premium feel with a toned down processor and 4GB + 4GB of RAM. Performance specs isn’t its strong part as you can really feel a bit of the UI lag when using it. But if it’s just to watch videos and browse the web, you’ll do fine. It’s strongest selling point is the 7,000mAh battery allowing it to last hours as an entertainment device.

The TechLife Pad is also available on TechLife’s TikTok Shop, Lazada Flagship Store, and Shopee Official Store for those who love online shopping. From June 27 to June 30, online shoppers can enjoy an exclusive discount of P500 by utilizing the available platform vouchers, and they can also get FREE TechLife Wireless Earbuds.

The official first selling period of the TechLife Pad is until June 30. For every purchase of the TechLife Pad, customers will get a free TechLife Keyboard for Pad worth P1,099. For the early birds, we urge availing of the free keyboard promo because it really transforms this into a super affordable laptop.

This 2025, an updated version of the TechLife Pad has also been released.
