Superpowered by AI: How Concentrix’s iX Hero Gives CX Agents Their Own Copilot

I recently got a firsthand look at iX Hero, the latest generative AI-powered solution from Concentrix — and let me tell you, this isn’t just another productivity tool. It’s a full-on assistant that lives inside the workspace of every customer experience advisor, giving them what I can only describe as real-time superpowers.

At the launch event in Manila, Concentrix brought out the big guns: Chief Product Officer Ryan Peterson, Global VP for Product Craig Cotton, VP Ratna Puri, and PH-based leaders Amit Jagga and Larah Sta. Maria. Even the DICT’s Assistant Secretary Migui Planas was there — which, for me, was a solid sign that this isn’t just about tech, but also about its potential for national impact.

So what does iX Hero actually do?

In short: it’s the ultimate AI copilot for CX agents. It transcribes conversations on the fly, pulls up knowledge base answers in real-time, filters out background noise (a lifesaver in busy homes or call centers), and even smooths out speech for clarity with a feature called Harmony. After the call, it auto-generates a transaction summary and even gives coaching feedback. That’s one tool doing the job of many — and it’s built right into the workspace, no extra tabs, no hopping between apps. Harmony was developed in-house using a combination of proprietary technology, OpenAI, Gemini and other LLM’s to help address concerns raised by customer experience advisors through the years.

What stood out most for me is how Harmony isn’t just about cleaner calls — it’s about accessibility. During its pilot in the Philippines, iX Hero was tested as part of the recruitment process. And it helped applicants who might have struggled with verbal clarity—due to accent or nervousness—pass the language assessment stage without compromising their authenticity. That’s AI giving people a shot they might not otherwise get. This tech was developed by going through tens of thousands of past call recordings to refine accent clarity.

There was some concern raised about how Harmony, despite being an equalizer, may actually be a double edge sword that can affect the edge of Filipinos who have historically better English skills compared to other countries. However, Concentrix executives were able to justify this as being a tool that only helps with clarity, but the inherent skills of taking calls and making decisions on the fly are still very much important to the overall customer experience.

Concentrix Philippines EVP Amit Jagga put it best when he said, “This is AI for good.” And honestly, I agree. This isn’t just automation for the sake of efficiency. It’s using AI to include more people in the digital workforce — especially in an industry where clear communication is make-or-break.

In fact, the results speak for themselves:

    • 20% efficiency gains from faster onboarding
    • 22% reduction in average call handling time
    • 13.5% bump in customer satisfaction
    • 30% improvement in communication quality (thanks to clearer speech and better confidence)

As someone who writes about AI often, I’m always on the lookout for applications that don’t just sound good on paper but actually work in the real world. This is one of them.

iX Hero is already picking up global awards like the TMC Generative AI Product of the Year — and more importantly, it’s showing that real-time, responsible AI can empower human work, not replace it.

AI shouldn’t feel like a threat. It should feel like the best coworker you’ve ever had. And from what I’ve seen, iX Hero is exactly that.
