Globe recently announced a significant 18% year-on-year growth in its fiber broadband revenues as of September 2023, signifying the company’s responsive stride towards increasing demand for high-quality and reliable internet connectivity across the country.

Globe also noted a deceleration in the quarterly decline of Fixed Wireless revenues, indicating a positive shift in market trends towards postpaid fiber offerings. Wired revenues comprise approximately 84% of Globe’s total Home Broadband Business, driven largely by postpaid fiber.

“We’re seeing an encouraging uptrend in our fiber broadband business, and our commitment to delivering exceptional service is stronger than ever,” said Raymond Policarpio, Vice President of Globe At Home Brand Management. “Our focus is not just on expanding our reach but also on acquiring quality subscribers who value longevity and reliability.”

Further bolstering this growth, the introduction of Globe’s groundbreaking GFiber Prepaid in July this year has been received positively by customers who have praised the service for its fully digital experience, affordability, and prompt installation.

This revolutionary No Lock-Up, Unli Pay-Per-Use product, coupled with a convenient payment option through GCash, aims to address the underserved market. GFiber Prepaid has notably achieved the highest reload rate and Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) among Globe’s prepaid offerings.

Also in response to the persistent need for fiber connection within communities and to broaden the reach of affordable fiber internet, Globe also introduced TMBayan Fiber WiFi in August 2022, designed with the prepaid market in mind. This unlimited prepaid fiber service offers cost-effective options for superior connectivity, ensuring that high-speed internet is within everyone’s reach.

Globe’s advancement in fiber broadband illustrates its dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction. As the company moves forward, it remains focused on bridging the digital divide and enriching the lives of Filipinos through improved and accessible fiber broadband services and offerings.
