Signify Philippines is advancing energy-efficient lighting systems that help businesses and government organizations save power, lower costs, and support sustainability efforts.
Formerly known as Philips Lighting, Signify said it is introducing new lighting technologies and connected systems in 2026 that do more than simply illuminate spaces. It believes smart lighting can help organizations manage energy use, improve operations, and create safer and more comfortable environments.
The solutions are designed for different environments, where energy efficiency and digital tools are becoming increasingly important.
“As the Philippines continues to grow and modernize, we see tremendous opportunities for lighting to play a larger role in improving business performance, sustainability, and quality of life,” said Redin Aliling, commercial leader of Signify Philippines. “This year, we are introducing more advanced and innovative lighting solutions that help customers achieve greater energy savings, gain better control over their environments, and support their long-term sustainability goals.”
Aliling recently assumed the role and is based in Singapore.
According to Signify, rising electricity costs are pushing organizations to look for ways to operate more efficiently. Smart and connected lighting systems can help reduce energy consumption, provide data that can improve operations, and create better environments for employees and customers.
For manufacturers and industrial facilities, intelligent lighting can improve workplace safety and visibility while helping meet energy-reduction targets. Retailers can use lighting to enhance the customer experience while lowering electricity use. In public spaces, LED and connected lighting systems can help improve road safety, visibility, and overall quality of life.
“The benefits extend far beyond individual buildings,” Aliling said. “As more organizations adopt energy-efficient and connected lighting, the collective impact can help reduce energy demand, lower carbon emissions, and support the Philippines’ broader sustainability ambitions.”
He noted that lighting may seem simple, but when implemented strategically, it becomes a powerful tool for economic growth, environmental stewardship, and social development.
Signify is also continuing its efforts on the circular economy by developing longer-lasting products, using more sustainable materials, reducing waste, and promoting responsible resource management.
The country’s infrastructure expansion presents additional opportunities for smart lighting technologies to support safer cities and more sustainable communities.
“Our vision is not only to grow our business but to create meaningful impact for the country,” Aliling said. “By bringing the latest lighting innovations to the Philippines, we aim to help businesses become more competitive, support government sustainability initiatives, and improve everyday experiences for millions of Filipinos.”
