Due to the recent move of Spotify PH to increase premium prices, Spotify’s subscription plans will soon be higher than Apple Music’s and YouTube Music’s.

On Oct. 3, Spotify PH announced that its original pricing for the individual plan (From P129 pesos) will be P149 in December. Users are still going to be charged with the original price until their billing date in the said month.

As of writing, the solo premium prices of its competitors, Apple Music and YT Music, remain at P139 and P129, respectively.

Apple Music’s family subscription plan is still at P219 monthly and YT Music’s is still available at P199 a month.

Moreover, Spotify’s duo premium price will also increase from P185 to P199, while its family premium plan will also be soon be at P239 from P194.

The prices have also increased in other Southeast Asian country such as Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.

“The market landscape has continued to evolve since we launched. So that we can keep innovating, we are changing our Premium prices across a number of markets* around the world. These updates will help us continue to deliver value to fans and artists on our platform,” Spotify wrote in its newsletter.

The audio-streaming platform began its price adjustments in July this year.
