Women Esports is rising fast—and it starts with Hiraya

In Filipino, “Hiraya” means “the fruit of one’s hopes, dreams, and
aspirations”, the space where dreams take form as they enter reality. In today’s esports landscape, Hiraya is no longer just a concept. It is the starting point where potential is discovered, sharpened, and propelled toward the global stage.

This is the vision behind the Hiraya Cup 2026, the all-female collegiate Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) qualifier supported by Converge FiberX.

For Converge, the initiative reflects a clear commitment: expanding access, opportunity, and performance in competitive gaming, especially for women gamers who are increasingly shaping its future. Across Asia, women now comprise 37% of gamers, growing at 11% annually, nearly twice the rate of men. In Southeast Asia, they account for 53% of the gaming population, rising to 63% in the Philippines.
These figures signal more than participation; they signal momentum.

At the Hiraya Cup 2026 Grand Finals held last April 13, Minerva Empress emerged
victorious after a hard-fought series against WINX PH. Both teams now advance to the Athena Cup Season 2, the Philippines’ official qualifier for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2026. For them, Hiraya is not the end point, it is the beginning.

That journey is enabled by gaming-specific infrastructure made more accessible than ever by Converge, the Fastest Internet in the Philippines*. At the core of this is the GameChanger EZ Plan 1800, the only internet plan designed for gaming, built with 3 Lows (low latency, low jitter, and low packet loss) and 1 High (high-speed internet). With network gaming prioritization, it delivers faster response times, stable ping, and smooth, lag-free gameplay even during peak hours.

With speeds of up to 400 Mbps, it enables seamless play and streaming without lag, bringing high-performance gaming within reach, without overspending.

Because beyond connectivity, this is the real commitment: in esports and beyond, potential should never be limited by access but accelerated by it.

This performance leadership is further validated by industry data, with Converge recording latency score as low as 13.94ms securing the Lowest Latency Claim award, significantly ahead of competitors averaging 23.79ms and 24.92ms, based on Ookla® Speedtest Intelligence® data for AO 2H 2025. This lower latency translates into faster in-game response times, giving players a decisive edge in high-stakes, real-time competition.

When imagination meets opportunity, Hiraya becomes reality. This is what it means to Live to the Power of X.
