Five Yale smart home security products and features worth knowing

Home security is no longer limited to traditional locks and keys, with newer technologies offering biometric authentication, keyless entry and mobile connectivity to help homeowners manage access and protect their belongings.

Yale Home Philippines, under global access solutions provider ASSA ABLOY, recently showcased its smart home security solutions during a pop-up at ACE Builders in SM City Fairview.

Here are five Yale home security products and features worth knowing.

    1. Yale Luna Elite+

The Yale Luna Elite+ is a smart door lock equipped with facial recognition and palm-vein scanning technology, allowing users to unlock their doors without physical keys.

It offers seven access methods, including facial recognition, palm scanning, fingerprints, PIN codes, RFID cards, mobile app control and mechanical backup keys.

Its hands-free unlocking feature allows homeowners to enter without touching the lock, which may be useful when carrying groceries or other items.

    2. Yale Uno

The Yale Uno offers a simpler approach to keyless entry, featuring a fingerprint scanner integrated directly into its door handle.

Users can unlock and open the door in a single motion by placing their thumb on the scanner while gripping the handle.

The device is designed for households looking to reduce their reliance on physical keys, including shared living spaces where multiple occupants require access.

    3. Yale YDL325 Series

Unlike smart locks primarily designed for main entrances, the Yale YDL325 Series is intended for interior doors, including bedrooms and home offices.

Its main feature is a panic release mechanism, which allows occupants to unlock the door from the inside by pushing down the handle.

This enables a quick exit during emergencies and may be particularly useful in households with children who could accidentally lock themselves inside a room.

    4. Yale Solis Safes Collection

For securing valuables inside the home, Yale also showcased its Solis Safes collection, which includes the 230L, 250, 400 and 560 models.

The electronic safes feature steel construction, 20-millimeter motorized locking bolts, interior LED lighting and a three-minute tamper lockout function.

They also include a USB-C emergency power option.

Depending on the model, the safes can accommodate documents, electronic devices and other valuables.

    5. Yale Home App

Beyond physical security devices, Yale also offers a mobile application that allows homeowners to manage compatible smart locks and connected security features.

The Yale Home App supports functions such as access management, notifications and Bluetooth-based automatic unlocking on supported devices.

Depending on the connected hardware, users can also access features such as real-time door alerts and two-way communication through a digital door viewer.

The application is designed to provide greater control over home access, including when homeowners are away.

ASSA ABLOY Philippines director and general manager Jonathan Kwong said expectations surrounding home security have evolved as more households adopt connected technologies.

“Security isn’t just about locking doors anymore—it’s about seamless access, peace of mind, and effortless control, whether you’re at home or away,” Kwong said.

The devices are also available at up to 30% off at ACE Hardware stores nationwide until October 31, while the Yale Home pop-up at ACE Builders in SM City Fairview remains open for hands-on demonstrations through the same date.
